What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Assistant position at Smile Scarsdale Dental?
Position Summary: Creating happy & healthy environment for patients and staff through attention to detail and a good attitude. Responsible for assisting Doctor(s) in all orthodontic clinical procedures while maintaining a harmonious working environment to enhance the patient experience. The focus of this assistant will be records, scanning, and basic assistance with patients. This orthodontic position is for WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. For full-time, it would be pediatric dentistry on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

- Patient Treatment from start to finish with individualized care and patience.
- Assisting doctor thoroughly and completely with orthodontic procedures with a high degree of professionalism and efficiency.
- Delivering orthodontic instructions clearly and thoroughly with use of visual aids; dispensing of oral hygiene supplies as needed.
- Taking patient records with the highest of fidelity while seeing instruction to perfect techniques; self-critique as necessary under the supervision of the Doctor(s).
- Sterilization and stocking of operatory including all consumables, instruments, burs.
- Taking impressions and making retainers.
What you Have to be a Successful Candidate
- Orthodontic Chairside Assisting Experience Required
