Job Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining timely and efficient flow of product during the production process and for following standard operating procedures, including but not limited to completing production related paperwork and meeting product specifications. Hourly Competitive Starting Pay – $21.00/hour $1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift positions Comprehensive Health Insurance, Retirement Benefits and More. Duties & Responsibilities: Follow all Personnel Safety and Food Safety policies/procedures, GMP’s and plant rules. Ensure the safe operation of plant equipment and machinery, the safe use of tools and the safety of others working in the immediate area. Know the production schedule for the product being run and check to ensure the proper tubs / tools are available and in place. Ensure that production area/line has been properly cleaned per the production schedule. Understand and follow batch sheets. Inspect products for overall appearance according to customer requirements and remove/isolate non-conforming products. Make approved adjustments per crew leader’s direction to ensure product is manufactured within customer specifications. Communicate with crew leaders and other crew members to maintain a proper flow of raw materials and finished product(s) throughout the entire production process. At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and turn in all required paperwork. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic mathematical skills required; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division 6 -12 months of continuous work history Demands and Work Environment: Exposure to wet conditions The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, grasp with both hands, or feel; substantial movements (motion) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; reaching and pulling with hands and arms. Prolonged standing or sitting - Occasional walking is required for short distances. Ability to consistently move/drag/lift up to 60 lbs frozen raw materials on a regular basis. Ability to consistently move/drag 100-150 plastic totes. Frequent stretching out of arms, and use of upper body. Occasional turning and twisting at the waist. Continuous exposure to temperatures ranging from 10F – 85F degrees.
