Description
We are looking for a Front Desk Service Agent able to answer any questions guests may have and direct them to the proper location. Experience dealing with the public in a professional setting is a plus but not mandatory. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate would be an individual with exceptional customer service skills, is efficient at communicating with people and is capable of handling conflict resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls, booking reservations as needed
- Answer guests’ questions about the hotel, town, and tourist attractions
- Check guests in and process payment
- Check guests out and print receipts
- Be familiar with the hotel's facilities and services
- Answer questions regarding transportation options in and around the town
- Direct guests to appropriate resources, be a friendly representative of the hotel, and act as concierge where applicable
- Receive cash payments from guests and make proper change and accurate bank deposits
- Responsible for always keeping the lobby clean and presentable
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
- Time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with job duties and to be an outstanding team player
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Able to work shifts on weekends and holidays
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to climb two flights of stairs unassisted
