Retail Salesperson

Location: Tavares, FL (must be able to commute)
Pay: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour (DOE)

Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals with prior smoke shop experience to join our team. You’ll be responsible for opening/closing the shop, helping customers, and keeping the store running smoothly while maintaining high standards of customer service and product knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Open, operate, and close store according to schedule.
• Process customer sales, credits, exchanges, and refunds accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with product selection, upselling, and answering questions.
• Maintain knowledge of smoke shop products, including:
• Disposable vapes, vape mods, coils, and e-liquids
• Glass pieces (pipes, water pipes, rigs, accessories)
• Hookah, shisha, and charcoal
• Tobacco wraps, grabba leaf, cones, cigarillos, etc.
• Kratom, CBD, and Delta products
• Ensure ID checks are strictly followed for all age-restricted products.
• Sort, stock, and display products in a clean, organized, and eye-catching way.
• Monitor inventory levels; alert management when stock needs to be replenished.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in store (sales floor, counters, back room, and bathroom).
• Follow procedures to meet or exceed weekly sales and store quotas.
• Prevent loss by monitoring suspicious activity and adhering to store security protocols.
• Train or assist in training new employees when needed.
• Handle vendor deliveries and restock items properly.
• Accurately complete daily cash reports and balance registers.

Requirements:

• 1–3 years smoke shop experience Preferred (knowledge of products is a must).
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently.
• Natural leadership ability and teamwork mindset.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Basic math and POS system skills
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand on feet for extended periods.
