Position Summary
The IT professional will be tasked with resolving internal tech needs and requests in a timely and professional manner. They will need to have superior communication skills and the patience to assist team members of all levels of Tech Savviness. Our IT professional needs to be able to troubleshoot issues independently and have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make decisions to fix issues in crisis situations.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems
- Monitoring network performance to determine if changes need to be made
- Assisting with the design, testing and implementation of new networks
- Completing daily server checklists for multiple company networks
- Identification, documentation, and resolution of issues in event logs
- Keep the IT Director informed of problems and their resolutions
Qualifications
- 2 -3 years prior experience
- Citrix Certification (CCA-V or CCP-V) preferred
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
- Flexibility to work overtime or after normal business hours as business needs dictate
- Above average documentation skills
- Ability to research technical issues and various resolutions
- Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
- A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable interacting with all levels of staff
- Valid drivers license
Experience
- Maintaining and troubleshooting technical issues with Windows Server 2016, 2012, Active Directory, Hyper V, Exchange 2013, Citrix, VoIP and Windows 10
- Updating network hardware and software
- Documentation of problems and their resolutions
