Smooth Waters Plumbing is a small family owned company with over 30 years of experience. We proudly service the midlands of South Carolina. We specialize in residential and commercial plumbing, sewer, new installation and repair.
We are looking for an experienced Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and commercial plumbing, including installation, repairs, and maintenance. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently, and have a strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Desire to learn necessary skills to become a plumbing technician operating in their own van
- Knowledge of basic hand tools used for plumbing work
- Participate in required classroom instruction and off-site training
- Learn and understand how plumbing systems work
- Ability to learn new skills quickly through on-the-job training
- Perform simple repairs and maintenance on various plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and sewage lines as needed
- Understand and adhere to local plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Utilize field management software (HouseCall Pro): dispatching, customer communication, pricing estimates, on-site payments, financing
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste drainage systems
- Transport and organize plumbing materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
- Clean work areas, removing debris and protecting work area surfaces
- Help keep work van clean and organized with proper inventory
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Plumbing experience (Preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record (MVR) with reliable transportation
- Pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Competent, responsible, organized and team oriented
- Effective communication skills to communicate with customers and resolve any issues, complaints or concerns
- Effective time management and organization skills to complete daily assigned tasks
- Ability to follow orders and directions
