What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field service technician position at SNC?

As a Field Service Technician II, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and / or field locations.
You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment.
You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training.
Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground / flight training and complete logistics support.

Must-haves :
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and / or publications
- Experience using troubleshooting techniques
- Understanding of electrical wiring concepts
- Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred :
- Associate's degree in a related field of study
- Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
- Prior experience with Security , Network , CCNA and / or A
- Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and / or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
