Responsibilities
- Manage and lead audits for school districts, governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, and private businesses.
- Oversee all phases of audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, risk assessment, internal control evaluations, and final reporting.
- Review working papers and audit documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to audit teams.
- Communicate audit findings and improvement recommendations to client leadership.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure professional growth and high-quality performance.
- Support business development efforts and contribute to the firm’s growth and strategic initiatives.
Must-Have Qualifications
- CPA license required.
- 5 years of audit experience in public accounting, with at least some experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong background in governmental and/or non-profit audits is highly preferred.
- Excellent understanding of GAAS, GAAP, and internal control best practices.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including client presentation abilities.
- Proficiency with audit software, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks.
