Assistant Controller
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 2 days in office, 3 days WFH)
Compensation: Up to $180K base 20% bonus potential

Due to an internal reorganization and continued growth, we’ve been engaged on a confidential search to identify a sharp, operationally minded Assistant Controller to oversee GL accounting and help scale the finance function. This individual will work closely with a long-tenured, manufacturing-savvy executive leader and play a key role in driving process improvements, developing a team, and preparing the company for further expansion.

Your Background
We're seeking a CPA-qualified accounting professional with the following:
- 5–6 years total experience, including:
- 2 years in public accounting (Big 4 or Grant Thornton strongly preferred)
- 2–3 years in a hands-on industry accounting role, ideally in manufacturing or a similar product-based environment
- CPA required (or very near completion)
- Strong GL experience – month-end close, ERP systems, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Leadership potential – experience mentoring or leading a team is a plus
- Highly collaborative, analytical, and process-oriented
What You'll Do
- Lead general ledger accounting, monthly close, and reconciliations
- Collaborate with operational and financial leaders across the business
- Implement and refine internal controls
- Develop and eventually manage a team of four Accounting Managers
- Contribute to integration efforts and process improvements post-acquisition
- Deliver timely, accurate financial insights to support executive decision-making
