What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deburr Technician position at SNVA Ventures?
Job Description:
- Complete all final manual operations and inspections prior to the delivery of manufactured components.
- Use hand tools and pneumatic tools effectively.
- Understand and work with sharp edges, blending, and deburring processes, especially in areas that cannot be machined.
- Wash and clean cylinder blocks, heads, tools, and other components as needed.
- Demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Work with aluminium, steel, and other materials.
- Handle and finish cylinder blocks, heads, and small hand parts.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Comprehensive understanding of, and ability to use all forms of power deburr/edge break tools (air and electric) and their associated attachments (carbide burrs, flex hones, cartridge rolls, unitized points etc.)
- Competent with the use of manual deburr tools (deburr knives, countersinks, files, etc.
- Ability to interpret information and perform detailed deburr and edge break operations (Aerospace/Défense standard or equivalent) on various engine components of differing materials, through verbal and written instruction (physical sample, engineering blueprint, printed SOP, etc.)
- Competent with various forms of measuring equipment (e.g. Micrometres, callipers, gauge pins, go/no-go gauges, etc.)
- Strong mechanical and component assembly experience
- Physical requirements are listed below but not limited to:
- Standing-Frequent/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day
- Walking-Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 3 hours per day
- Sitting- Occasionally/Intermittent
- Lifting- Up to 50 lbs. Occasionally/Intermittent
- Carrying up to 50 lbs. Occasionally/Intermittent
- Pushing/Pulling-between 50-100 lbs. Occasionally/Intermittent
- Ability to read and understand detailed blueprints
- Previous race or production engine assembly or rebuilding experience
- General knowledge and/or experience working with manual or CNC machinery
- Previous Aerospace or Defense industry experience (Deburr, and/or Assembly)
- Previous experience with Associate supervision
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
