We are excited to present this opportunity in our St. Joseph, MO office for a civil engineer with 2-plus years experience in consulting engineering. St Joseph is a growing city on the Missouri River just a short drive from the Kansas City metro area. It's an area that has many of the conveniences of a large city without the pressures of traffic and density that larger cities are known for.
Snyder & Associates is a multidisciplinary Civil Engineering Firm working on most facets of transportation and site development projects. This particular opportunity provides a focus on site design duties as well as client exposure on a variety of Civil Engineering Projects.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work on a variety of project assignments for public and private clientele. Will be hands-on in helping develop project estimates, scope and design, and will stay involved in projects from start to finish. This role will also include regular interaction with with design engineers, clients and regulatory agencies, and requires a strong work ethic consistent with our culture.
Qualifications
In addition to the previously described duties, preference would be given to a candidate who possesses the following:
- Experience with or interest in site plan design
- Experience in a variety of civil engineering projects, both public and private
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form.
- Strong teaming skills as well as able to deliver as an individual contributor
- On pace to achieve PE licensure in Missouri and/or Kansas
- Ability to work on multiple. diverse projects
- The high-profile of services provided in this position necessitate the incumbent to commute, reside or relocate to the immediate St. Joseph, MO area.
