Job Summary:
The Evening Dining Director will work closely with the Dining Director to oversee all aspects of dining services operations within our community. This role requires a strong leader with a passion for hospitality, culinary excellence, and customer service. The Assistant Dining Director will assist in managing staff, planning menus, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a positive dining experience for residents and guests.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Support the Dining Director in overseeing all aspects of dining services, including meal preparation, service, cleanliness, and staff supervision.
- Assist in the development and implementation of menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents while ensuring variety, quality, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
- Provide leadership and guidance to dining staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and dietary requirements.
- Foster a positive dining environment by engaging with residents, addressing their concerns, and soliciting feedback to continually improve services.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of special events, theme nights, and culinary promotions to enhance resident experience and community engagement.
- Assist in budget planning and cost control measures to achieve financial goals while delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovations in senior living dining services to enhance program offerings and resident satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dining Director or community leadership to support the overall success of the dining department.

Education and Experience:
- Required cook experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Physical Requirements:
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Is involved with personnel, residents, families, and other visitors under all conditions and circumstances.
- Is subject to anxious and emotionally upset residents and families.
- May work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, temporarily in staff emergencies, and to ensure proper care for all residents.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
