Role:
The Consumer Loan Processor provides member service by assisting members with online and Financial Service Centers originated loans. Ensures all indirect loan packages are following Soarion Credit Union's Indirect Lending Program and funds indirect and direct loans for the Lending department.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for communicating loan approval or denial decisions to members and non-members. Obtains borrower’s signature on all applicable documents after any underwriting conditions have been met.
- Reviews online originated loan applications to verify that information is complete. Responsible for contacting borrower to verify the borrower information, discuss finance options and other related Soarion Credit Union ancillary product offerings. Also is responsible for gathering missing information or documentation before submitting to underwriting for review.
- Use the credit report to identify opportunities to assist the member with additional financial solutions.
- Accurately calculates and distributes loan proceeds for approved loan products including Soarion Credit Union VISA credit cards.
- Review loan packages to ensure all applicable documents are received and verified for accuracy.
- Funding of indirect auto loan packages including, calculating, and distributing loan proceeds and dealership reserves, preparing loan packages for imaging, and other applicable duties.
- Responsible for contacting dealership personnel to obtain missing documents and information.
- Contact members to complete a welcome aboard call to verify the borrower’s information, discuss finance terms, insurance, and other related Soarion Credit Union products as well as gathering missing information or documentation.
- Provides excellent service to internal, external third-party vendors and to members.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with Indirect dealerships, credit analysts and other Soarion Credit Union departments.
- Monitors various loan queues to ensure loan applications are expedited through the consumer loan origination process.
- Provides support to employees and members concerning lending policies and procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
What you'll bring along:
- (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
- 2 years or more of experience in Lending.
- Excellent knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
