What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sky Server position at Soboba Casino?
Summary
Under the direction of Beverage Management, the Sky Server provides service to our valued VIP guest(s) on the casino floor, utilizing an electronic devise, the Sky Server is responsible for slot service calls, including Drinks on Tap and the Oasis 360 application. The Sky server must demonstrate the upmost guest service approach and the ability to exceed our guests’ expectations; one guest at a time every time.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating a memorable guest experience and providing exceptional service, as well as continually being proactive, charismatic and warm with our valued VIP guests.
- Acts as a liaison to all VIP hosted players and Player Development.
- Orders all alcoholic beverages and food product from bartenders and cashiers.
- Non-alcohol drinks are to be prepared by the Sky Server and rung-up under the proper department comp category.
- Verifies guest is of legal age to consume alcohol and ensures all responsible Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC), state and Gaming policies are adhered to while serving alcohol.
- Maintains high level of knowledge from all food outlets and bars.
- In assigned sections Sky Servers are responsible for picking up trash, clearing empty bottles and maintains cleanliness of area and/or ashtrays. Servers maintain professionalism at all times while serving our guest and working with the Slot Department, Table Games, Beverage, Player Development and coworkers.
- Sky Servers are required to wear the required uniform, including appropriate shoes, nylons or tights and/or proper under garments. Uniform must be clean, pressed and worn in a classy/professional manner.
- The position requires all Sky Servers to be at their personal best and have exemplary personal hygiene. Including styled hair and makeup being done on a daily basis.
- Servers are required to tip 20% of their total alcoholic drink tips earned to bartenders.
- Full time servers will be scheduled five days most weeks and part time 3 to 4 days a week.
- Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management to support Beverage Operations.
Education / Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age, or older.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Four (4) years of Food & Beverage experience or any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
- Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
- Must obtain RBS and TIPs training (onsite).
- Must obtain a Riverside County food handlers’ card.
