What are the responsibilities and job description for the Indoor Soccer Referee position at Soccer First at SportsOhio?
SportsOhio is looking for referees for our indoor adult soccer leagues year round and for our youth leagues during the fall and winter.
Expectations:
- Knowledge of the game of soccer and/or previous experience playing the sport is a must
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and controlled environment on the field
- Certifications are a plus, but not required
- Enforce Soccer First Indoor Soccer Rules in a consistent manner throughout all games assigned
- Arrive for games scheduled and be on time and ready for all games assigned
- Cooperate with staff and work well with other referees
- Be reliable
Details:
- Rate of pay is $20.00 / game paid biweekly
- Game play is 24 minute halves with a 2 minute half time break
- 1 referee / game system
- Needing refs starting immediately though the year. May have availability to transition to outdoor leagues.
- Games may be played every day of the week, including weekends
- Weekday games start at 5:25-6:30 PM
- Weekend games start as early as 8:00 AM
- Uniform required but not provided
- Background check required
