House Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION - ** PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE APPLYING

Stephanie Blake is the CEO of Social Sparrow and the CEO of her family, and she is seeking a house manager to work with her full time in her home 35-40 hours per week.

This role is unique and created specifically to meet the needs of Stephanie. She runs and manages a very successful company with 24 employees & 65 clients all over the US from the comfort of her home. She needs help keeping all the balls (both home oriented & business oriented) in the air.

You might be perfect for the job if you binge watched The Home Edit when it was released…. because organizing by color speaks life to your heart.

The majority of the work associated with this role will take place at Stephanie’s home in Anna, TX. You would need to be there 5 days a week for 7-8 hours per day. During that time, you will clean the kitchen, meal plan, meal prep, do laundry, assist with large projects, and other tasks that (hopefully) you will think of. Being PROACTIVE is a major plus! Stephanie wants someone to come in, and provide ideas for what can be taken off her plate. She stays VERY busy throughout the day so you’ll be given direction and be expected to be a go-getter to get things done without a ton of oversight.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays you’ll need to assist their youngest, Journey (11 yrs old, 5th grade) with her school work. She is an absolute delight but gets distracted easily.

Outside of her home, the work will include running errands, scheduling appointments, mailing packages, business travel planning, and more.

Stephanie Blake is married to the incredible John Blake, and they have four children: Josiah (22), Jude (19), Jossalyn (16), and Journey (11). It’s a full house - literally and figuratively. Not only do the 6 call it home, but Stephanie also runs her business, Social Sparrow, from her home office. Your assistance with home life and business life will be crucial.

This position is one with Social Sparrow. You will be a full-time employee paid an agreed upon hourly rate. The position will start with a 30 day probation period to make sure that this role is a good fit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work inside Stephanie’s home (Anna, TX) 5 days per week, 7-8 hours per day.
• Cleaning kitchen, bathrooms tidying the living areas
• Making beds, changing sheets
• Changing cat litter
• Meal planning and prep
• Order/pick up groceries
• Laundry
• Schedule appointments as needed
• Travel coordination and planning
• Running errands
• Filing paperwork
• Home and office organization projects
• Mailing packages
• Various household projects
• Other tasks as they arise

SKILLS

• Comfortable with online technology - willing to learn new (slack, google docs, etc) for the purpose of staying organized with tasks
• Understands meal planning for specific dietary needs
• Likes to organize and plan
• Proactive approach to job

• Positive, judgment-free & friendly attitude

REQUIREMENTS

• Transportation - You must have reliable transportation
• Access to a Computer Internet & ability to use a project management software (Asana) where tasks will be organized
• Within driving distance of Anna, TX
• Available during daytime hours
