SVP is looking for a part-time Development Manager to join our small, but growing team.
The Development Manager works closely with the CEO and Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors. The position is classified as salaried Part-time (25 hours per week) and is supervised by the CEO.
Specific Job Responsibilities Include:
Membership Development and Engagement
- Development and implementation of retention strategies for members
- Interviewing new Partners to understand their motivation for joining SVP and co-developing a personal development plan through engagement with SVP
- Recruitment of new Partners with an eye towards representing the diversity in our community
- Tracking and soliciting membership renewals for all Partners
- Serving as a member of the management team by staying abreast of organization-wide issues and how they relate to Development goals
Fundraising
- Support annual fund activities, including online giving campaigns, and board fundraising support
- Research potential fundraising prospects and strategies
- Participating in grant funding prospect research
- Ensure maintenance of donor database (Salesforce), including data entry and reports
- Manage thank-you letters and other donor stewardship activities
- Setting and achieving, in close collaboration with the chief executive, annual revenue goals
- Build the planned giving program with a focus on deferred gifts such as bequest expectancies
- Supporting the CEO’s major gift work with top prospects
- Grow SVP membership by 15% in the first year and grow individual donations by 20% in the first two years
- Organize and execute in person events
- Execute a successful Corporate Partnership model
- Continually seek out opportunities for stewardship and cultivation of both current and potential Partners
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining high quality and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with Salesforce preferred
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse groups
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing a successful fundraising/development function in an organization or company
- Solid record of achieving revenue goals, especially when working across groups and teams of paid professionals and/or volunteers
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and connect with people
- Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members and other volunteers
- Be organized and self-motivated with tasks and goals

Salary/Benefits:
- This role is part time/salaried. Salary range $45,000 - $52,000
- SVP Boulder County works a four day week (Monday – Thursday)
- 11 Paid holidays
- 12 days of PTO for the first full year increasing annually
- 5 sick days annually
