Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Meeting Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing and coordinating meetings, conferences, and events to ensure they run smoothly and effectively.
Duties:
- Plan and execute meetings, conferences, and events from start to finish
- Coordinate all logistical aspects including venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, and transportation
- Develop event budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences
- Market events to attract attendees and sponsors
- Manage event registration process and provide on-site support during events
- Oversee fundraising activities related to events
- Provide excellent customer service to all participants
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event planning, preferably in a corporate or nonprofit setting
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management for events
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of venues, hotels, restaurants, and catering services
- Experience in events management including logistics coordination
