The Role
The IT Vendor Risk Analyst Intern will support the IT Vendor Risk Management team in the day to day execution of supplier risk management activities such as onboarding, ongoing monitoring, due diligence collection, invoicing, and offboarding. They will also work on special projects to enhance current processes followed by the IT Risk Management team to promote operational excellence.
The IT Vendor Risk Analyst Intern will play a crucial role in aligning IT Vendor Risk activities with business objectives. You will learn how organizations leverage technology to achieve their goals and gain a broader understanding of business strategy. You will gain practical experience in areas like vendor selection, contract negotiation, risk management, and performance monitoring. The internship will provide a platform to develop essential skills, such as communication, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and project management.

**The candidate must be available for the entire internship period:**
- Cohort 1: Monday, June 1st, 2026 to Friday, August 21st, 2026
- Cohort 2: Monday, June 15th, 2026 to Friday, September 4th, 2026
- Initiate onboarding/offboarding requests in Venminder and Ironclad, track approvals, and ensure completion of required documentation.
- Update supplier records and project records in Airtable with contract dates, key contacts, performance metrics, and other key information.
- Generate monthly reports on supplier performance, contract renewals, spending, and outstanding risk tasks.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding supplier lifecycle activities
- Onboard new suppliers and manage renewals for low risk suppliers
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a chargeback model within SoFi
- Drive lead-time reduction in supplier lifecycle activities, namely supplier onboarding, supplier renewals, and supplier payment
- Enrolled in an accredited US-based university (working towards a Bachelor’s degree) with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems/Technology Management, Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, Data Analytics, or have a demonstrated interest in IT, business processes, or supply chain management
- Must be returning to school for at least one quarter or semester after the internship
- Have no more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience (excluding internships and research assistant roles)
- Must be willing to relocate to San Francisco Bay Area and be available to work in the San Francisco HQ office at a hybrid capacity (2-3x a week)
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and general collaborative enterprise software. Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Airtable, Google Sheets) is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, collaborative mindset
