The Warehouse Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager. They will be responsible for managing overall operations at the XXXX location. This position will oversee the training of personnel, production, warehouse operations, and safety of all employees at the assigned plant.
Responsibilities
- Manage all ship receive functions
- Manage dock appointments and maintain scheduling of Customer appointments through OpenDock system
- Coordinate with Capacity Planner and Commercial Team for dock appointment priorities and exceptions
- Ensure all shipping clerks and supervisors are performing accurate driver checks, following SOPs and Safety procedures
- Timely and accurate Input all Purchase Orders and Bills of Lading into NetSuite
- Enforce Automated Bill of Lading process with each outbound shipment transaction
- Inspect all receipts and deliveries for damages and verify case quantities and lot/EXP dates
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (Netsuite and RF-Smart) to input all load-out data and to check inbound loads into inventory
- Manage (coach, train and develop) forklift operators
- Communicate with the forklift operators and delegate what tasks are most urgent (which truck to unload first, what load needs to be put away, etc.). Assist with forklift operations when necessary
- Manage headcount of required forklift operators per shift based on business needs and assign other duties if trucks are not on time/no-shows
- Perform periodic, monthly and end-of year inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
- Ensuring the warehouse is neat and orderly at all times and coaching team members to maintain that level of detail
- Support the production team as necessary. Help set up lines with product and help clear lines if needed. Support inventory control tasks as requested
- Oversee all OSHA related forklift certifications and maintain a log of all active forklift operator's certification and recertification dates
- Reviewing and responding to Customer & internal E-mail/Teams communications in a timely manner
- Maintain all forklift assets and working with local vendors to manage all dock related maintenance and repair
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
Qualifications
- 5 years of warehouse experience required.
- Proficient with WMS systems required; NetSuite preferred
- Communication and interpersonal skills
