Our client, an asset management company in New York City is looking for a Structured Finance Attorney with 4-6 years of big law experience. The attorney in this position will support the firm’s private credit and structured finance activities, including deal structuring, negotiation, documentation, and execution of complex financing transactions. The role involves working closely with the investment, operations, compliance, and risk teams to manage legal risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Transactional Support:
- Advise on, structure, negotiate, and draft documentation for private credit and structured finance transactions, including senior secured loans, asset-backed financings, warehouse lines, securitizations, and CLOs.
- Support investment teams on transaction structuring, diligence, and risk assessment for bespoke financing opportunities.
- Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure timely deal execution
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in New York.
- 4-6 years of structured finance experience, preferably at a top-tier big law firm.
- Strong understanding of credit documentation (LMA/LSTA), securitization structures, and asset-backed lending.
