We are seeking Mechanical Assembly Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling parts according to precise instructions ensuring that Sol-Ark products consistently meet the highest quality standards. This position involves confidently verifying component quantities, conducting thorough quality checks on completed items, managing parts inventory efficiently, and utilizing hand tools and mechanical equipment to create structurally sound products including performing electrical Hi-Pot testing.

Responsibilities:
- Standing at a workbench, assemble products from small and large components using small hand tools, including electrical and pneumatic.
- Able to lift around 90 pounds (40.82 kg). If the inverter is heavier, mechanical lifting aids or team lifting may be required to ensure safety.
- Ensure a high standard of 5S 1 housekeeping is always observed and maintained.
- Perform routine maintenance on assembly equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Be involved in and promote an environment of continuous improvement, flexibility, and teamwork.
- May use schematics or blueprints, wiring lists, and verbal and written instructions to assemble, modify, rework, or reassemble units.
- Read work orders, follow company procedures, production drawings, written routings, and work instructions, make use of sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Positions and aligns jigs and fixtures to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble components.
- Crimps, stakes, screws, rivets, welds, solders, cement, press fits, or similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Mounts assembled components, transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, sockets, connectors, and similar components onto chassis/PWB.
- Connects components and lead wires to PWB/PCBA.
- Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
- Test finished products for defects.
- Discern the quality of parts and materials used in production.
Requirements:
- The ability to accurately document the information requested on specific forms, reports, and logs.
- The ability to identify and report problems.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present/communicate information.
- Ability to perform simple math.
Desired Skills:
- Experience: Previous manufacturing or assembly role, particularly with PCBA and enclosure assembly.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly machinery.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and accuracy in assembly tasks.
- Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to assembly defects or malfunctions.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.

- Salary Range: Starting hourly $18/hr (increased to $20/hr after successfully completing 90-day probation) 10% Bonus.
