- Weekend rotation required
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Pharmacy Technician to join our production and fulfillment team in Cincinnati. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing prescriptions, coordinating medication clarification with facilities, and consulting with Pharmacists to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent multitasking abilities, and exhibit strong punctuality and attendance.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately enter new and refill prescriptions (phone and in-person orders).
- Fill daily drug orders promptly, ensuring accuracy under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist with the processing of returned drugs and ensure proper recycling or disposal per procedure.
- Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store as needed.
- Manually package materials and products.
- Retrieve and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.
- Apply labels to medication packaging and scan products for accuracy checks.
- Notify the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product scanning issues.
- Maintain and replenish stock supplies at designated workstation areas.
- Adhere to all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
- Ensure availability to work 40 hours per week.
- OH Pharmacy Technician License required.
- PTCB/National Certification is a plus.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting required.
- LTC experience preferred, but open to retail technicians with strong dispensing experience.
- Must be able to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Punctuality and good attendance are essential.
