Job Summary – The Warehouse Supervisor will make key decisions on all aspects of the warehouse, including storage, inventory, logistics, distribution, transportation, hiring and training. The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the warehouse, shipping and receiving processes, and intercompany inventory transfers are organized, efficient, and meet the goals of the company.

Responsibilities:
· Maintain receiving, warehousing, distribution, and intercompany inventory transactions by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures in accordance with corporate policies and goals. Coordinate with the sales department, purchasing, and manufacturing departments to ensure the corporate goals are being accomplished within the department.
· Be familiar with customer contracts to ensure proper routing procedures and packaging requirements are followed. Communicate with sales team when customers’ requests cannot be reasonably accommodated.
· Evaluate and maintain logistics contracts to ensure maximized profitability and efficiency while complying with customer requirements.
· Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
· Maintain physical condition of warehouse and warehouse equipment; inspect equipment to ensure it is in good working order and is safe to operate; issue purchase order requests for repair and requisitions for replacement.
· Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
· Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
· Maintain warehouse job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing and communicating related results as needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

· Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics

· Ability to meet established quality and productivity standards.
Education & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity. Minimum 7 to 10 years in the warehousing industry. Associate degree in business operations, supply chain management, procurement or another related field is helpful but not required depending on work experience. Must be certified to operate a forklift. Must have a valid VA driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
Hearing/Talking: Must be able to communicate with others by means of spoken words. Must have good hearing.
Sitting/Standing/Walking: Must be able to maintain mobility. This position requires you to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
Climbing/Reaching: Must be able to reach for parts.
Bending/Stooping/Kneeling: Occasional bending/stooping or kneeling to obtain materials and shipping equipment/parts.
Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to use hands and fingers to work with parts, tools and equipment. Manual dexterity is essential to this position.
Lifting: Frequent lifting of up to 25 - 50 pounds.
Salary : $47,800 - $60,500
