What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Personal Care Assistant- PRN position at Solon Nursing Care Center?
Our Assisted Living is fully staffed, but we are currently looking to hire an additional individual who can pick up shifts to help with vacations, sick days, or any open shifts as needed. This can include both holidays and weekends. Management is responsive and hands-on.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals with senior care requirements. Extremely high-level cares needed.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and dressing.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents by following established protocols and resident rights.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
- Assist with meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.
Skills:
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques and best practices.
- Understanding of assisted living regulations and guidelines.
Note: Prior experience in personal care assistance or caregiving is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
