Responsibilities

GEOINT Systems Engineer: Responsibilities

• You will support capability and solution definition for future systems through various system readiness events and independent review teams.
• You will support space, ground and enterprise teams developing architecture and requirement baselines, establishing and assessing mission capabilities, assessing system and segment schedule and risks, supporting test and verification strategy.
• You will have daily interaction with the customer and supporting contractors and will follow customer standards and processes as the program matures through the life cycle.
• Require minimal oversight to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Assist in the creation of quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
• Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
• Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
• Participates in design reviews of to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
• Coordinate Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM).

Qualifications

Required:

• Requires technical degree/STEM (engineering, physics, etc.) 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Strong Systems Engineering background with a focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure.
• Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering area(s) to include but not limited to: Requirements Engineering, Systems Integration, Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO).
• Domain knowledge of customer's mission capabilities (to include any combination of GEOINT, COMM, SIGINT and Multi-INT domains) and overall space and ground architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems to further organizational goals.
• Commitment to understand, recognize, respect, and operate effectively within various SETA, Federally Funded Research and Development (FFRDC), and Governmental lines of authority.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability to lead/support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to support the customer’s needs, clearly communicate (orally & written) ideas, work autonomously.

Desired:

• Familiarity with direct IC customer, technical familiarity with mission processing or mission control of systems, including sensor knowledge.
• Ability to work for direct IC customer and familiarity with that customer’s processes and organization.
