Responsibilities
GEOINT Systems Engineer: Responsibilities
- You will support capability and solution definition for future systems through various system readiness events and independent review teams.
- You will support space, ground and enterprise teams developing architecture and requirement baselines, establishing and assessing mission capabilities, assessing system and segment schedule and risks, supporting test and verification strategy.
- You will have daily interaction with the customer and supporting contractors and will follow customer standards and processes as the program matures through the life cycle.
- Require minimal oversight to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Assist in the creation of quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
- Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
- Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
- Participates in design reviews of to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
- Coordinate Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM).
Qualifications
Required:
- Requires technical degree/STEM (engineering, physics, etc.) 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Strong Systems Engineering background with a focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure.
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering area(s) to include but not limited to: Requirements Engineering, Systems Integration, Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO).
- Domain knowledge of customer's mission capabilities (to include any combination of GEOINT, COMM, SIGINT and Multi-INT domains) and overall space and ground architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems to further organizational goals.
- Commitment to understand, recognize, respect, and operate effectively within various SETA, Federally Funded Research and Development (FFRDC), and Governmental lines of authority.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability to lead/support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to support the customer’s needs, clearly communicate (orally & written) ideas, work autonomously.
Desired:
- Familiarity with direct IC customer, technical familiarity with mission processing or mission control of systems, including sensor knowledge.
- Ability to work for direct IC customer and familiarity with that customer’s processes and organization.
