Position Overview
The SCSD Director of Physical Education, Health, and Athletics is responsible for the development, coordination, and maintenance of high-quality physical and health education as well as interscholastic and intramural athletic programs that align with the district’s mission and goals. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating all program components; supervising and evaluating both certified and non-certified staff; developing and managing program budgets; ensuring equal access for all students; and leading ongoing staff and curriculum development efforts.
Qualifications
• NYS School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certification required.
• Teaching experience in Physical Education and/or Health.
• Experience as an athletic coach.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, families, and community partners.
