Sr. Inventory Clerk

Overview

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for conducting material counts and assisting in the research around inventory discrepancies of received and produced materials in the Tamarac manufacturing facilities. Incumbent will partner with Inventory Analysts and Accounting in conducting material investigations and correcting system inventory.

Department: Plant Management

Reports To: Inventory Analytics and Solutions Manager

Hours: 8am – 5pm; overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Supporting implementation of inventory control policies as directed by Management

· Communicating inventory discrepancies to Inventory Analysts for further investigation and root-cause analysis

· Identify bin location issues and work with Operations to properly label each location, inventory, overstock, empty locations, etc.

· Validate and assist in maintaining inventory quantities and location accuracy

· Responsible for recording scrap inventory transactions, establishing its physical disposition, and communicating with the Accounting and Operations team

· Assist in projects related to inventory

· Document counts and investigations surrounding inventory discrepancies

· Cross-trains designated back-up

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Formal Training:

· High School diploma or GED; Associates Degree Preferred

Experience & Technical Knowledge Required:

· BA level education or equivalent experience

· 1-year minimum experience with warehouse procedures or inventory control

· Forklift experience/training required

· SAP knowledge preferred

· Strong computer skills and data entry - Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred)

· Capable of implementing and maintaining policies and procedures

· Product Knowledge

Materials and Equipment Used:

· Office Equipment, Database & Query Software, and SAP System.
