What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Assistant/Receptionist - WILL TRAIN position at Sonoma Optometry Center?

We are looking for a friendly "people person" to work in our optical boutique and perform typical receptionist duties for a healthcare office. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY -WE WILL TRAIN
-Job is part time: Tues., Wed., Thurs 8:30-5 with 1 hour lunch.
-Selecting optical frames and sunglasses with the patient. Know which are appropriate for their Rx (if applicable), fit and fashion style. (will train)
-Typical front desk healthcare office reception duties (answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, etc.).
-We cross train so must be open to learning new aspects of the job (team player)
- NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY -WE WILL TRAIN, however Optician, optical assistant or technician certificate is preferred.
-Pay commensurate with optical experience.
-High school grad or equivalent required
-Be comfortable and efficient in fast pace environment
- Have a happy, friendly personality
- Strong interest in fashion and eyewear
-Bilingual Spanish/English a plus, but not required
-Salary: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
