Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Monitor patient behavior and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Facilitate therapeutic group activities and engage patients in meaningful conversations.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a psychiatric technician training program is preferred.
- Previous experience in a mental health or healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations while demonstrating sound judgment.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities is desirable.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred or must be obtained within the first month of employment.
- Must pass background checks as required by facility policies.

Pay: $52.71 - $55.00 per hour
