Farmers Market Vendor

Requirements:

• Must have own vehicle (mid-sized SUV/truck or larger) capable of hauling 1 canopy tent, tent weights, 2 tables, 1 chair, 1 display case, 1 sandwich board, 5 large totes of product, 1 utility tote is expected.
• Must have own cell phone.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Customer Service and Retail Experience.

• Communicative. Effectively communicate with a wide range of customers in a diplomatic way; handle complaints, compliments, and disputes with grace; promote the shop and its products; work with the chef to create an efficient flow of product.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pre-Market:
• Pick-up equipment and product from shop.
• Arrive at farmers market during designated set-up time.
• Comply with market rules and regulations for vending at all times.
• Unload and set-up booth tent, tables, displays, signage, and products.
• Use restroom before start of market.

• During Market:
• Use Square to process sales.
• Greet customers.
• Take and fulfill customer orders.
• Practice proper food handling techniques by using gloves and tongs.
• Keep products stocked using FIFO.
• Do not leave the booth unattended.

• At close of Market:
• Break-down booth, pack-up equipment and product.
• Load-up vehicle
• Return equipment and product to shop.
• Close out cash box and submit with inventory sheet to Stacia.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.41 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

Work Location: In person
