Sophos Speech and Academics is seeking a dynamic and student-centeredTutor to join our team! We are looking for someone who prioritizes student connection, has a flexible teaching style, and is passionate about supporting learners who need a boost in foundational academic skills.
This is a mobile role that may include tutoring in students’ homes, at our center, or on school campuses. Tutors must have reliable transportation, a working laptop, and an active cell phone.
What You'll Do:
- Provide 1:1 or small group academic support to students
- Adapt instruction to meet individual learning styles and needs
- Build strong, positive relationships with students and families
- Maintain communication and collaborate with parents, teachers, and the Sophos team
- Use professional judgment to select and implement effective instructional materials
- Track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

- Passionate about helping students feel confident and capable
- Personable, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with children
- Available between 2:00–6:00 PM, Monday–Thursday (with some flexibility)
- Comfortable commuting throughout the Phoenix area
- Professional, dependable, and communicative
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing one in education or related field preferred)
- Experience working with children in an academic setting
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Laptop and working cell phone
- Must be proficient in French
