What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barricade Driver/Traffic Control Maintainer position at Sorensen Companies, Inc.?

- Clean MVR Report- No more than two moving violations.
- Experience pulling a trailer. Ability to operate SAFELY around high traffic locations, prior Traffic Control Maintenance experience preferred.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY (Purpose of Position)Deliver and pick up barricades, set up and tear down job site (work area) protection, repair devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver and pick up barricades (work area protection) and setups.
Formulate a correct, safe, and compliant work zone by: going to job sites, reviewing situation, determining: what areas need the best protection, speed limit, types of lane usage.
Make a rough sketch of the area & work area.Make any revisions or correct any problems to the Traffic Control Plan.Set up devices (signs, barricades, etc.) in correct manner.Review setup (drive through) for high safety concerns and fix any problems.Perform job inspections.Check out jobs that have been out for two weeks.Maintain and repair devices to make sure they meet UDOT compliance.
Keep all devices (1,500 ) clean and in ready-to-use condition.Repair barricades and other devices.Ability to prioritize the order of deliveries and the number of devices that will fit in truck to maximize time/efficiency.Keep current clients satisfied and informed.Train other drivers on the use of the Traffic Control Plan program.Clean and maintain yard where devices are housed.Clean and maintain truck.Perform an inventory of all devices semi-annually.Completes paperwork daily, in a neat and legible fashion.*Paperwork includes but is not limited to: time cards, bill jobs, detail checklist, DOT forms, etc.Maintains a checklist on equipment, materials used, man hours, etc.Keeps truck and tools organized, clean, and accounted for.Communicates directly with manager in safety needs, work needs, and individual needs.Actively participates in safety meetings.Follows established safety rules on job site, to and from job site, and uses common sense in maintaining a safe environment for self, team members, customers, and public.Reports progress of jobs to manager and discusses any problems for resolution. Monitors and verifies quality control and uniformity of work. Assists in any other assigned tasks as required.
