As a SoulCycle Instructor, you’ll create an uplifting, inclusive and high energy environment while building strong community connections. Through our comprehensive training program, you will learn our method and mission to motivate riders in every session.This role is for driven individuals who thrive in a fast paced, hospitality-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the SoulCycle brand and culture, be an active community builder, and commit to teaching in a dynamic environment. SoulCycle offers both part-time and full-time opportunities for qualified instructors. This position will report to the regional Talent Manager. The responsibilities and duties of this position described here are representative of those an employee must perform. Role Expectations:Teach a high energy SoulCycle class from the bike, modeling form and pace to create a SoulCycle brand experience while delivering an engaging, safe, and inclusive rider experience. Build and sustain relationships with riders and colleagues, acting as a brand ambassador both inside and outside the studio, including online presenceBe professional and respectful; Arrive at least 20 minutes before class start time and end class on time, communicate promptly and professionallyActively participate in development, feedback & continuing education opportunities.Monitor and drive performance to meet and exceed individual goals (e.g. paid rides, frequency, retention) using your Instructor flash reportAdjust to varying studio dynamics, time slots, and audiences, ensuring every rider feels successful and celebratedUphold the highest standards of hospitality and inclusivity in every interaction and influence others to do the sameThis is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.Availability Requirements:Open availability for non-traditional hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidaysPart-time Instructors are expected to have at least 3 days of availability, equal to an average of 20 hours per week, with at least one of those days being a Saturday or Sunday.Availability submitted at time of hire must be adhered to for at least six monthsAbility to teach a minimum of four of the following holidays per year; Typically 2 of 4 summer holidays and 2 of 3 winter holidays:US Instructors: 4th of July, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day UK Instructors: New Years Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Bank Holiday, Spring Bank Holiday, Summer Bank Holiday, Christmas Day (closed), Boxing Day QualificationsSuccessful completion of the SoulCycle Instructor Training Program (required)Strong preference for 2 years of professional teaching experience in group fitnessKnowledge of basic anatomy, kinesiology and exercise modifications for all rider levelsAble to teach a high energy cycling class from the bikeProficiency with Apple Music and/or music editing software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsFriendly, vibrant, and community driven, with a passion for the SoulCycle brandStrong hospitality and customer service skillsAccess to phone, email, and laptop for work related communicationsNote: Instructors are prohibited from working for any direct competitor to SoulCycle during their employment.Pay Transparency: $60-104 per session.Additional InformationPerksPaid time offHealth benefits for full time and part time InstructorsRetail discountCell phone stipendTechnology stipendEquinox app subscription Discounted Equinox club membership401K w/ company matchPre-tax transit and parking options…and more!
