Qualifications

• A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• An active medical license in California or eligibility for licensure is required.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
  
  

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Scheduling

• The swing position schedule is 12 pm to 12 am
• 7 on/7 off block schedule
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for admissions, with support of 6 hospitalists (flex to 7 during busier winter months) as well as overlap with Nocturnist physician from 7pm to 12am.
• Washington Hospital is a 415-bed acute-care hospital with a 28 bed ICU and 23-bed emergency room.
• Closed ICU – the ICU team runs 24/7 intensivist support and codes.
• Manageable workload and encounters foster a balanced and supportive work environment.
• Epic EMR and have access to Sound Physicians’ internal informatics platform for streamlined and efficient workflow.

• Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation package for the swing hospitalist role including an expected base compensation of $354,900 plus productivity and quality bonuses.
