Need to be willing to travel to both office locations, one in Huntington Beach, one in La Palma (near Buena Park), however your home office will be in La Palma.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum two years of experience working medical front office in a busy practice with multiple doctors.
Experience interpreting authorizations and detailed insurance verifications (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and IPA/Medical Group referrals).
Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
Outstanding phone and customer service skills.
Proficiency with computerized patient scheduling programs.
Superior multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, initiative, follow-through and the ability to meet deadlines without heavy supervision.
Superb oral and written communication skills including proper spelling, grammar and punctuation (no exceptions.)
Responsibilities include:
HEAVY appointment scheduling.
Handle walk-in patients in need of minor hearing aid repairs and over the counter purchases.
Maintaining steady patient flow for up to 5 providers at a time.
Faxing reports to and requesting records from referring physicians.
Pre-appointment preparation: E-mailing paperwork, registering patients, preparing superbills, organizing charts.
Cleaning and preparing patient rooms and equipment.
Follow-up phone calls to patients as directed
