Source One is a staffing services company and we’re currently looking for drivers to work for our client, an autonomous vehicle (AV) company in Ann Arbor, MI.
Title: Vehicle Operator - Data Collection (Contract)
Pay Rate: $20/hr (W-2) plus comprehensive benefits (listed below)
Shifts Available:
M-F, AM Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM | PM Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM (EST)

What You’ll Do:
- Drive test vehicles for 4–8 hours daily on predefined routes, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness and address any maintenance needs.
- Conduct basic software operations to support real-time data collection.
- Accurately document observations, issues, and anomalies encountered during test runs.
- Collaborate with engineers, providing valuable feedback to enhance system performance.
- Assist with vehicle logistics, maintenance coordination, and storage.
Requirements
- Basic vehicle knowledge with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving for extended periods (4–8 hours per day)
- No moving violations within the past 12 months, DUIs, or criminal record
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and strict safety guidelines
