POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Aug Tech will assist in the daily support of our Client K12 Network and PC/laptop Devices. The applicant would be involved in assisting with the installation and maintenance of personal computers, networks and other information technology equipment and systems. Responsibility is included for identifying and correcting system problems. As an entry level employee in the network and systems field, the incumbent receives close supervision until experience allows more independent action. Work is reviewed in progress and upon completion for achievement of desired objectives.
We are currently seeking candidates in the Long Island Area and the prospective hire will be reporting onsite to the School District.
The workday/ hours may vary on Mon-Fri from 7:30am – 3:30pm.
The salary for this position is $50,000 (negotiable based on experience).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily interaction with a team of Sourcepass/School network engineers, reporting directly to the Lead Network Admin Directors in the support, administration and repair of the current Network and Network Devices
- Support the development and design of network architectures for various School Tasks and clients
- Diagnoses computer and network problems, assists in resolving difficulties, and refers software problems to appropriate staff members or vendors if necessary
- Participate in on-site client deployments and provide cutover support and day-after support for projects
- Participate in internal project status and engineering meetings
- Accurately record weekly project and support activities on time sheets
DESIRED SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE
- An associate degree in computer science is preferred with these certifications being a plus: CNE, MCSE, CCNA
- 3-5yrs post Education experience
- This individual may work on multiple projects simultaneously and is expected to be capable of learning the activities/software and show effort levels necessary to accomplish their assigned activities
- Strong Customer Support and interaction skills
- Experience with Visio / AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Solar winds and Google Admin suite are also a plus
