Title: Substitute Teacher
Qualifications: Valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate
Reports to: Building Principal
Job Goal: To help students learn subject matter, skills, appropriate attitudes and values as to enable them to become mature, productive, and responsible members of society.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
1. Uses instructional techniques, methods, and materials that best contribute to learning the desired subject matter, skills, attitudes, and values.
2. Creates and maintains a classroom environment that is positive and is conducive to maximum learning.
3. Maintains complete and accurate records of student academic achievement, attendance, misconduct, etc. as required by state law, district policy, and administrative rules in a timely manner.
4. Becomes familiar with and assists in the implementation and enforcement of Board policies, administrative and school rules and regulations.
5. Supervises and manages student behavior. Assists in behavior plans as needed. Documents interaction with student and parents when addressing student behavior.
6. Observes professional ethics in all matters relating to students, parents, and colleagues.
