Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the service department, dispatching work and performing quality control. This position requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with automotive service department operations, automotive vehicle knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with tehnicians, advisors and managers.
Duties
- Review each workorder for key points including quality of write up, history and documentation.
- Utilize DMS to dispatch work to the appropriate technician based on time and abilities.
- Work Directly with Service Lane Manager to establish guidlines for work flow and efficiency.
- Perform quality control tasks with technicians to ensure vehicles are fixed right the first time.
- Review repair orders for proper documentaion prior to turning in to advisors.
- Manage techncians to ensure they are staying on task to help achieve production goals.
- Manage shop support to ensure we are offering a safe and clean environemnt to work.
- Coordinate with various repair contractors to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired as needed
- Manage special tool programs to ensure tools are cheked in and out properly to maintain an accurate inventory of tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an automotive shop environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using technology and software related to automotive service
- A team player who can work collaboratively with various departments.
