Come grow with us! South County Mental Health Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit Joint Commission Accredited Behavioral Healthcare provider located in Southeast Palm Beach County, Florida. Situated in the city of Delray Beach, the Center provides a broad spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care to clients and their families in surrounding communities.
Essential Functions
· Assist client to identify work needed to help achieved their goals.
· Teach client strategies and skills in order to build their resiliency in coping with psychosis while staying on track with their lives.
· Provide at a minimum weekly individual sessions using the Navigate Education IRT modules with the client.
· Evaluate the progress the client is making and document.
Record Keeping and other Administration
· Participate in the collaborative treatment planning process.
· Participate in weekly team meetings.
· Receive weekly supervision for a minimum of one hour provided by the Director Team leader.
· Participate in the consultation calls monthly.
OTHER MINOR OR OCCASIONAL TASKS
· Special projects and duties as assigned.
BUSINESS/SUPERVISORY
· Familiar with the baker and Marchman Act.
· Demonstrate the ability to interpret and abide by confidentiality laws, abuse reporting guidelines. Client rights requirements and abide by a code of ethics and practice standards.
MEDICAL/MENTAL HEALTH
· Intermediate to advanced counseling skills.
FUNCTIONAL, SPECIALIZED & TECHNICAL
· Advanced organizational and time management skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
OSHA Class III
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- BA/BS Degree: Psychology, Social Service, Social Work, Behavioral Health or equivalent degree
- 1 year experience with the Adult Mental Health population.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Master Degree in Mental Health or Social Service Services from an accredited college or university.
- 2 year experience with the Adult Mental Health population.
