Dakota State University is seeking applications for two full-time facility workers :

  • Monday through Friday from 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm with an occasional weekend as needed.
  • Primary responsibilities include custodial care and minor maintenance of a residence hall.
  • Monday through Friday from 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm with an occasional weekend as needed.
  • Primary responsibilities include custodial care and minor maintenance of athletics facilities and the community center.

Responsibilities :

  • Floor care mainly vacuuming and mopping but could include scrubbing, waxing, and shampooing carpets.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms.
  • Collect and remove trash from building.
  • Dust and wash walls, woodwork, and windows.
  • Remove snow from steps and sidewalks near buildings.
  • Painting and moving furniture.
  • Follow written and oral instructions.
  • Operate required equipment.
  • Work with students, staff, and the public courteously.
  • Work independently.
  • Lift 50 pounds.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship is not available for this position.)
