What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant III, Institutional Effectiveness - South Florida State College position at South Florida State College?
Full-time, year-round position to provide administrative support to the Dean, Division of Institutional Effectiveness while maintaining confidentiality and security of office responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with business office personnel regarding grant administration.
- Assists the dean with event planning, meeting arrangements, and special projects for the Division of Institutional Effectiveness.
- Works with program managers preparing DBOT agenda items and processing their execution.
- Facilitates communication with the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness.
- Coordinates office coverage with other division staff.
- Assists in the development and monitoring of the division's unit action/effectiveness plans.
- Assists with administrating the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) and the Survey of Entering Student Engagement (SENSE), including scheduling with faculty and survey administrators.
- Schedules and prepares committee meetings, including preparing agendas, recording and maintaining meeting minutes, and organizing all committee-related documentation on Panther Central.
- Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and College institutional effectiveness efforts.
- Acts in accordance with College policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Educational: Associate (or higher) degree required. (At least five years of related experience in a college or university may substitute for the degree requirement.)
Experiential: At least three years of clerical/secretarial experience required; administrative office management experience strongly preferred.
Other: Proficiency in word processing required; experience using data base and spreadsheet software preferred. Knowledge of general office practices/ procedures and good organizational skills required. Grant experience, including writing, monitoring, and reporting strongly preferred. Experience at an educational institution preferred. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of people.
