South Jersey Dental Implants & Periodontics in Linwood, NJ, the office of Dr. Shah, Dr. Hakim, and Dr. Vayner, is looking for a motivated, dependable Dental Surgical Assistant to join our growing team.
We are an established practice that has recently relocated to a brand-new, state-of-the-art dental office in Linwood Commons, and we’re excited to welcome a new team member who takes pride in high-quality patient care and teamwork.
Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, and an active X-ray license is required. This is a full-time position averaging 34–36 hours per week, with a consistent weekday schedule:
Work Schedule:
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Hourly compensation is based on experience.
Qualifications:
- Active dental X-ray license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused.
- Willingness to learn and grow in an advanced surgical periodontal setting.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing a welcoming, compassionate experience for all patients.
- Contributing positively as a dependable team player.
- Taking digital dental radiographs, including full-mouth series and cone beam CT scans.
- Instrument sterilization and maintaining operatory readiness.
- Adhering to the highest standards of infection control.
- Assisting with digital charting and electronic dental records.
- Supporting doctors and hygienists with room turnover and clinical flow.

Assisting during periodontal and surgical procedures, including:
- Dental implant placement, including full arch implant rehabilitation/All-on-X implant therapy.
- Extractions and socket preservation bone grafting.
- Gum grafting - gingival and connective tissue grafting.
- Laser periodontal surgery.
- Sinus lift bone grafting.
