Position: Food Service Assistant Manager
Hours: 8 hours per day
Calendar: 183 days per year (August-June)

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade and additional courses in home economics preferred.
- Three years of experience in the preparation and serving of food in a school lunchroom or cafeteria.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card upon date of hire.
- Knowledge of methods of preparing, cooking, and serving foods; procedures involved in managing a large school lunchroom; federal and state forms; proper nutrition.
- Ability to prepare food planned; operate equipment; keep complex records; understand and carry out oral and written directions; maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and students.
- Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- $15.87-$22.92 per hour (current 2024-2025 pay rates, 2025-2026 pay rates contingent on ratification and School Board approval). Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
- Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
- Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
- 6 paid holidays per year
- 2 personal days per year
- 10 paid sick leave days per year
- Bereavement leave, as per bargaining agreement
- Continuing Education Funds, up to $1,000 per year
- Up to $1,522 per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical, dental, and vision insurance
- $4,251 per year insurance opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6-hour employees), $3,825.90 (4–6-hour employees)
- 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
- Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($800-$1,400)
