What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unit Clerk position at South Mountain Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center?
Come join the South Mountain team and make a difference in someone's life! Our home like long term care / sub acute nursing facility is seeking to add a Unit Clerk to our team.
The Unit Clerk will be responsible for:
- Arranging all outpatient appointments for our residents, including coordinating transportation
- Arranging all in-house appointments for our residents
- Ordering x-rays, ultrasounds, etc. (in-house diagnostic imaging)
- Ordering labs
- Communicating with residents and their families/responsible parties
- Coordinating with the interdisciplinary team
- Reports to the Assistant Director of Nursing or designee
- Assists the nursing department with other duties as assigned
Our ideal candidate possesses the following skills:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Computer literacy
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- CNA license is not required but definitly helpful
