South Shore Early Education, a South Shore Community Action Council program - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Wareham, Cape Cod, and the Islands, is seeking a full-time Family Services Manager for our Plymouth location.
POSITION: 37.50 hrs. per week, 52 weeks per year
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement parent involvement programs for all families in the program, facilitate monthly parent meetings, parent policy council oversight and coordination. Publish monthly and annual documents and reporting for the program, including monthly newsletter, Parent Handbook, and other requested resource guides. Support Policy Council as the liaison between their membership and the grantee. Assist with implementing any requested parent activities. Attend all required trainings. Report to the Director of Early Education and Care, CEO, and Board of Director’s monthly on all activities. Travel amongst the childcare locations is required. Business trips in excess of the daily commute will be reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate, upon supervisor approval. Supervision and leadership of team of 7 Family Advocates.
Core Qualifications:
LISCW preferred. Director II early childhood certification preferred. BA/BS in Social Work, Early Childhood or related field is required. Must have a background in supervision of team members, with proven minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic or Spanish) preferred although not required. All candidates must have a current medical certificate, current MMR Documentation, current TB test, statements of CORI/DCF Background check and fingerprinting, an employment application (available on SSCAC website) prior to beginning employment. Minimum Requirements at employment:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
- Must be able to speak and understand English
- Valid MA state driver’s license
- References will be required upon hire
