We are currently seeking an optical assistant to join our reputable eye care practice. As an optical assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the optometrist and optician ensuring efficient operations within the office. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those interested in contributing to the well-being of our patients and delivering exceptional eye care services. TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.
Responsibilities:
-Offer excellent customer service and maintain professional and friendly demeanor at all times
- Provide assistance with frame selection, fitting, adjustments, and repairs.
- Assist patients with choosing appropriate lens package based on prescription needs.
- Submit prescription orders to labs.
- Maintain optical delivery schedule.
- Manage frame inventory.
- Inspect incoming prescription orders for accuracy
- Process frame and lens warranties.
- Front desk check in and check out patients.
- Multi task in a fast pace environment.
- Assist optometrist in conducting pre-examination tests, including visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception assessments.
- Perform specialized diagnostic tests, such as tonometry (eye pressure measurement), visual field tests, and retinal imaging.
