Location: District Wide
Scheduled days/hours: M-F 1-4 hrs/day.
Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and Highly Qualified status. Highly Qualified status can be achieved by completing One of the following: (1) Two year Associate of Arts degree; OR (2) The equivalent of 60-semester credits OR (3) A passing score on the MN Para Pro Test (The district can provide supported resources for completing the assessment)
Pay Rate/Range: $16.66 - $18.05/hr. (2023-2024 agreement) Base pay plus a $2,500 stipend for PCA work. The stipend is prorated for less than 6 hours/day and is distributed evenly over the annual paychecks.
Deadline: Open Until Filled - EOE (7/29/2024) Employment is contingent upon completion of a background check and a required pre-work screening.
Responsibilities: Will ride special education vehicles to support the needs of students as documented in Individual Education Plans. Will provide supervision and supports for health and behavior needs, and will assist the bus driver with loading of students and unbuckling of students as appropriate. Educational Assistants regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible to receive district insurance benefits.
