Job Title: Summer Kids World Program Staff
Description: Faribault Public Schools is seeking Program Staff to work with children in Preschool - 5th grade, for our Summer Child Care Program operating from June 15th through August 20th. Our summer program hours are 6:30am-5:30pm. Shifts range from 4-5.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Additional hours available on Fridays when field trips are scheduled. Summer Kids World will be located at Lincoln Elementary School. Training/Orientation will take place May 27th & June 11th. (9 positions available).
Pay range: $15.84-$18.07 depending on experience.
Additional bonus stipend for hours directly working with children may be issued quarterly as long as grant funds are available through MN DHS Great Start Compensation Support Program.
Essential Functions: This position is responsible for supervising large groups of school-age students and planning, preparing, and leading age-appropriate activities in a classroom setting. Staff will also attend and support students on field trips, maintain accurate daily attendance records, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
The role requires building positive, professional relationships with children and families while maintaining a fun, engaging, clean, and safe environment. Daily communication with parents and guardians is expected. Staff are also responsible for following all program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, certification
Qualifications: Experience working with and leading activities for preschool-age and/or school-age children. Experience in special education is preferred. Able to communicate effectively with other program staff, program managers, coordinator, parents, and children. Must be at least 16 years of age. Prefer some postsecondary education in the fields of Education, Early Childhood or other related fields and/or hours worked within a school or childcare setting. Previous work with Kids World preferred. First Aid and CPR certification required (willing to train if needed).
